Great app- good output and am very happy with it.

Konnte noch nicht alles ausprobieren, aber was ich gemacht habe, hat klasse funktioniert und war easy zu bedienen. Vor allem das Design ist schön und übersichtlich.

Funktioniert wie erwartet.

Man kann gut lernen mit dieser App.

Nostalgisch

Nach anfänglichen Bedienproblemen habe ich mich mit der App angefreundet. Funktioniert alles gut, man muss sich nur intensiv mit allen gebotenen Möglichkeiten vertraut machen. Die Werbeeinblendungen halten sich in Grenzen, ich werde aber die 1,99 in Anerkennung der Programmierarbeit zahlen.

I’ve been using this app for years. I got it right around the time I started learning how to play music and I’ve been using this to record my playing ever since. The audio is surprisingly clear considering it’s on the phone. There are some issues where the app will randomly crash if you’ve been if you’ve been using it for more than probably 10 minutes at a time. The recent update makes the app look nicer but somehow the apps even glitchier than before, half the time I try to record it makes me allow the app to use the phones mic even tho I already did years ago. I have thousands of recordings at this point but the new update makes the app really annoying to use

You ruined the best app ever made That is awful. You updated this. I can't find over half of my recordings. I don't know. Where do you put my cloud recording? What is going on? I'm so mad.!!!!! I work with this for a solid week trying to find things I can't find one thing Nickname: Hobbsgrandma >

Ad bloated update is not usable and has bugs

After update the recorder doesn’t work.

I sing with Sweet Adeline’s and find this app perfect for recording portions of our chorus rehearsals to help me with learning my music.

Playback speed is either too fast 1.0 or too slow 0.5. Recording sounds glitchy, missing parts of words.

I need help retrieving my old files please

This app is by far the most wonderful voice recording app in the world seriously! I’ve been using this app for over a 1 year and love it….EXCELLENT!!!!!

I catch a tune, I pull to the side of the road and I sing or humm the song into this app. Highly recommend for all songwriters. Grab it before it goes….♥️🙏🕊️✨

This app used to be amazing but they updated it all fancy and now the transcriber takes forever to work or doesn’t work at all. It was the #1 reason I used the app. I will be looking elsewhere with hopes they fix the mistake made with all the unnecessary updates.

After using and loving Voice Recorder for years, upgraded to v6.0. Was immediately bombarded with blatantly pornographic ads…as my family watched. Deleting immediately from my phone!!! Beware!!!

This app used to be great. I’ve trusted it for years. But ever since the latest update, every single new recording is broken—completely unusable. The app updated while I was recording, without permission, and now nothing I record plays back correctly. The old recordings still work, but any new voice note since the update is corrupted. That means the app is still pretending to work while secretly losing your data. Even worse, there’s no way to contact the developer. No fix. No rollback. No help. This is a serious failure for anyone who uses the app professionally or relies on it. Apple needs to intervene. Until this is fixed, do NOT trust this app with your recordings. One mistake and it could cost you everything.

Does not work anymore It opens and that’s about it, an unfortunate situation after so much work and files in to it.It was a wonderful app. Please help me to recover my recordings.!

After the recent update near the end of March 2025, the app now no longer correctly saves your recordings, nor lets you play them back. Same thing with this app on my daughter’s phone. The last few times we tried to use it (for very important things), it failed. Those recordings are gone forever because the app failed to record. And while it does *technically* save “a” file, it is only a super low size file (especially in comparison to how long the recording went on for), and then afterwards, the file in question ends up just being corrupted / shows up as 0:00 runtime, and absolutely will not play within the app (or anywhere else, even when attempting to export it elsewhere). Please fix your app and/or revert these disastrous changes you’ve recently implemented (which inexplicably made your recording app fail to do *the one thing it should be able to do without issue*), and I will gladly return this review back to 5 stars. Thank you.

I have mixed feelings about this ap. It’s great when it works. But it records long conversations then locks up for a entire day and deletes the recordings. I downloaded this based on popularity and reviews but I have had nothing but problems. The service is unreliable. I loose all the recordings, Then randomly most of the recordings show up but not the important ones.

When attempting to use the record feature instead of allowing the number intended to call & when the red record button is chosen, app is already stored w/a pre-programmed number that do not allow anything to happen I am paying for a service that I am not able to us. Other than that after making a new recording, you didn’t have to hunt for the new recording. The older version allowed the new file on top. Works ok otherwise I want in my refund RE phone record!!

App is amazing. I have been using it for the last couple years to listen to my own music. With the latest update, there is a problem that stops the app from playing sounds when the I lock the iphone or go to the Home Screen. With some files it lets them play in the background and other files it stops playing sound all together. I possibly need to update my iphone to the newest version. Other than that, the update is welcomed. Please help

Sooo convenient for a songwriter but also sooo much quality for recording. This is a truly spectacular device!

Used to be good. Now is a mess of never-ending popup screens and how-to’s that cannot be bypassed. I missed recording an important call (doctor instructions) because I could not bypass the unending “helpful” screens and updates. As usual, a once great app gets “improved” and gets improved into uselessness.

This app is pure garbage. It used to be good but now it’s buggy, laggy, crashes randomly, and has advertisements. It is not just bad it is completely impossible to use. The new updates completely ruined this app and now half the time the app tells me I haven’t recorded anything even tho I’ve been using it for months. Would not recommend, clearly there must have been a change in management where everyone who know anything about what their doing was laid off, i don’t know what else could explain such a devastating “update” that only makes it unstable and prone to crashing now with paid advertisements. Maybe it’s a good thing, I saw an ad for a different voice recorder so I guess I’ll get that instead.

This app has been a workhorse for years. I liked it for its simplicity. It would just record audio, and that was all I needed and wanted. It didn’t require uploading to the cloud, or push me to transcribe, or anything else. Now, they’ve launched a big new version with AI features and — it’s all broken. As in, when you finish recording, the button to save your file does nothing. You can’t play back what you just recorded. And when you force quit the app, you lose the data. There is just literally no way to take a recording anymore. It’s been a great run, but this app will be coming off my phone.

I’ve been using this app for years. The only thing that could use improvement is when listening and scrolling through individual recordings , for some reason the app closes and I have to start all over, sometimes losing my place because I forget to look at the number to identify the recording, that is, if I haven’t labeled it. All in all, I’m incredibly impressed with the sound quality and storage. I love the fact that I can share a recording as well.

This app was awesome, dependable, did exactly what you expected. Now they’re pushing ai and I’m deeply disappointed. I’ll be looking elsewhere.

my voice memos are not saving. this is devastating and there’s a serious need for fixing. also i pay monthly but still no ads or special features. Someone really really needs to fix these things, this was my favorite app

Sometimes I find broadcast that I would like to save and the only way I know to do it is to use this app.

Love the new AI applications

I upgraded to 6.0 iPhone XR Ios 16 Requirements say works on this iphone and ios 15 minimum. When i “transcribe” says ai not available device not compatible. When i had voice recorder previous version i had NO trouble transcribing. PLEASE please fix this or tell me how to download previous version!! Tried to send this via dev website contact page and when i clicked send i got a “404” page doesn’t exist. Update now transcribed but only 15 words broken up by timestamps. Same recording in version 5 was a block paragraph over 100 words.

Been using for years. Amazing and user friendly. Never had any issues. However now since the most recent update. It just keeps crashing. Especially when attempting to label the recording. A bit frustrating but love the app.

Not impressed with new feature. Really preferred the old fashioned cassette tape look. You were able to name it while it was recording now, when I hit rename. it crashes every time.

I have use this app for several years. It is no longer allowing me to upload to my dropbox since the new update this week. I tried to email the contact area. And it says the file is not found. Please help.

I use this app all the time for taking notes. It’s extremely valuable. I’ve been using it for over five years now. Not even sure how long it’s been. But it’s one of my favorite utilities.

It’s great to know exactly what was said instead of arguing about it later.

Don’t like the last ‘upgrade’…volume co trol not longer available when listening to recordings..all recordings do not have the same volume…dont like the display where I can’t see my files while listening to recordings…..works good but they’ve made it less user friendly.

The ap was great before the updates. Crashing now. Boo

I miss that wonderful thing on this wonderful app called ‘recording‘. Will of course go back to 5 stars when the bug is fixed

I use this app a lot for music but no shuffle play makes it more difficult and annoying to just let music play
